LET'S CREATE an inspired world ​ After a wonderful holiday in Northern Italy with Lars, I’m back home again. We saw so many beautiful things, and I realised once again how much I recharge from soulful beauty. Venice, with its little streets, the Peggy Guggenheim Museum, the Venice Biennale, the expansive views from the vaporetto, and the beautiful old houses and buildings. We also wandered through Verona, Vicenza and Padua, taking in art such as Giotto’s magnificent frescoes in the Scrovegni Chapel. In between, we relaxed in nature, surrounded by mountains. This is the kind of inspiration that makes my heart dance. Back home, it’s immediately time to focus on everything that is about to begin. Since my Thursday evening Abstract Painting course is completely full, I’ve decided to offer an additional Abstract Painting course on Monday evenings. This course will start on 5 October. The next Thursday evening course starts on 29 October. For those who prefer a one-day workshop, I’m offering Abstract & Mixed Media Painting on 27 September. I still have a few places available. I create abstract mixed-media paintings to make the invisible tangible. I build up my works in layers, combining natural colors, rich textures, transparent color layers, and open spaces. The contrast between rough and refined, dense and open, earthy and ethereal reflects the complexity of life and the many layers within ourselves. I feel drawn to what is not visible or easy to explain: the subtle layers of experience, intuition, emotion, and a quiet awareness of something greater than ourselves. By working intuitively and introspectively, I explore the balance between raw emotion and inner stillness, between the tangible and the ethereal. My paintings bring these seemingly opposing worlds together and create a space where duality can exist within a sense of unity. For me, art is an invitation to slow down, to feel, and to look beyond the surface.
